About the Fire Department
The East Bend Volunteer Fire Department has two stations, the first is station 14 in the center of town at 200 School Street, East Bend, NC 27018, the second is station 2 at 3300 Apperson Rd, East Bend, NC 27018.
The East Bend Fire Department is commanded by Shane Painter, and the cadet contact is Ronnie Boles.
The department has over 11 pieces of fire apparatus, 12 officers in leadership roles, and over 29 fire fighter members.
In addition to responding to fire and other emergencies, the department offers the community activities and services such as free smoke detectors to anyone who needs them, fire prevention training, Halloween at station 14, and Small Town Christmas is held at station 14 the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
